For bands

Get your band on openplaylist.

Your crowd already checks their phones between songs. Give them something worth checking: your setlist, live, with your band's name at the top.

Onboarding

Three steps. One rehearsal, honestly.

  1. Tell us about your bandUse the contact form or email us. We'll set up your band and claim your address, something like openplaylist.com/your-band.
  2. Build a set in the Set HUDAdd your songs to a set list: type them, paste a spreadsheet, or photograph an old setlist and import it. This is the same screen you'll play from.
  3. Play a showYour public playlist is already live. Put the link or a QR code somewhere the crowd can see it, and run your set like you always do. openplaylist follows along.
What you get

More than a poster with songs on it.

  • A live public setlist. Current song on top, played songs crossed off, the rest of the night in order, live on every phone that opens your link.
  • A stage tool included. The live set HUD behind it: keys in giant type, keyboard patches, backing versions, voice control for hands-full moments.
  • A stable address. Your band's URL doesn't change between gigs. Print it once on table cards, posters, or your socials and reuse it all year.
  • Your private view stays private. Readiness colours, keys, patches and cut songs never appear on the public page.

What it takes

If your band can make a group chat, you can run this.

01

A phone, tablet or laptop

The Set HUD runs in the browser. One device runs the show; bandmates can follow on their own screens.

02

Your songs

Start with one set list. You can add backing tracks and rehearsal snippets later, or never. The playlist works either way.

03

Ten minutes at rehearsal

Build the set, open your public link on a second phone, and play a song. That's the whole test.

Fair questions

Asked at real rehearsals.

Does the crowd need an account?

No. The public playlist is a plain web page. Anyone with the link can open it, and there's nothing to log into, ever.

What if we change the set mid-gig?

Then the public page changes mid-gig. Swap a song on stage and the room sees the new order within moments. That's the point of it being live.

Can we keep a set private?

Yes. Your working set lists live in the band's private space. Only the set you're playing from shows up on your public page.

We're not a covers band. Does it still make sense?

Originals bands get the same thing: a live running order with your name on it. Crowds at original gigs want song titles most of all. Nobody can Shazam your unreleased single.

What does it cost?

openplaylist is in early access while we onboard the first bands. Early bands get their public address free; tell us you're in and we'll sort the rest.

Who's already on it?

Game of Tones, the band openplaylist was built around, plays every show on it. Your band would be in good company.

Claim your band's address before another band does.

Send us your band's name and where you play. We'll reply with your openplaylist address and your Set HUD login.
