The band's setlist, in your pocket.
At a gig with openplaylist? Open the link on the table card or the screen. You'll see the song playing right now, everything still to come, and what's already been played. No app, no sign-up.
Works in any phone browser. Tap the tabs on the phone to try it.
Only songs from the band's own songbook can be requested. The band sees the board on stage and picks what fits. Their call, always.
A live set, as the crowd sees it. It moves on by itself here; at a real gig it moves when the band does.
Three taps into the night.
There is nothing to download and nothing to join. The band has already done the work; you just open the page.
Find the link
It's on the table cards, the screen by the bar, the band's socials, or the singer will call it out between songs. A QR code gets you there in one scan.
Open it in your browser
Any phone, any browser. It's a web page, so it loads like one: small, fast, and happy on the venue's patchy signal.
Follow the set
What's playing now sits at the top. Scroll for the full running order. It updates the moment the band starts the next song, so you never refresh.
Look for the openplaylist link.
Every band that plays with openplaylist gets its own page, and each night gets its own live set. If you can see one of these, you're in.
Never ask "what's this one called?" again.
The song title and artist are right there while it plays. Heard a cover you loved an hour ago? It's still in the list, crossed off in the order it was played.
- Now playing at the top, big enough to read in a dark room
- Up next, so you know when to get back to the floor
- The break shows as a break, with the band back on after it
- Once the night is over, the page keeps the set as it was played
Ask for Dolly Parton - Jolene
Pick it from the band's songbook, so it's always something they can actually play.
Twelve other people vote it up
Popular asks rise to the top of the board, where everyone can see them.
They see it on stage, and choose
If it fits the moment, it goes into the set and lands on your screen as "up next".
Ask for a song without shouting at the stage.
No napkin notes, no waving at the drummer. The request board is the next piece we're building: add a song from the band's list, vote up someone else's, and watch the room decide together. The preview on the phone above already works, so go and vote.
- Only songs the band knows, so nobody asks for the impossible
- One vote per song per phone, so the board stays honest
- The band always has the final say on what gets played
Built for one hand, half a drink and no signal.
You're at a gig, not at your desk. So the page is simple on purpose.
Easy on the eyes
A dark screen that won't light up the whole table, with big type you can read at arm's length.
Tiny on data
A small page that loads on one bar of signal and keeps showing the set if the connection drops for a moment.
No account, ever
You don't sign up to follow a set. Open the link and you're looking at it.
Good to know.
Do I need to install an app?
No. openplaylist is a web page. Open the link in Safari, Chrome or whatever your phone uses. If you want it handy, add it to your home screen.
Does it cost anything?
Nothing for the crowd. The band or venue sets it up; you just open it.
How does it know what's playing?
The band runs their set live from the stage. When they move to the next song, your screen moves with them, usually before the first chorus.
Can I see what's coming up?
Yes. The full running order is on the set tab, with played songs crossed off. Bands sometimes swap songs on the fly, and the page follows.
Will my request definitely get played?
Not definitely. Requests help the band read the room, but they choose what fits. Popular, playable asks have a very good chance.
Can I find the set after the gig?
Yes. The page keeps the night's set as it was played, so you can look up that song you couldn't name on the way home.
Up front, at the bar, or out on the floor.
Wherever you are in the room, the set is one link away. Playing in a band, or booking one? We've got a page for you too.
